Mbangala Gold Project Advances Through Exploration Phase
MARS Group Company Limited is steadily progressing with its Mbangala Gold Project, located within the historic Lupa Gold Field in Songwe Region. Since its launch in September 2024, the project has achieved major milestones in its exploration phase, aimed at unlocking the area’s gold potential.
The company began with detailed geological mapping to trace rock units, structural patterns, and zones of alteration that indicate possible mineralization. This initial work helped identify key priority target areas with promising gold potential.
To enhance the understanding of subsurface structures, geophysical surveys were conducted using both electrical and magnetic methods. The data obtained guided subsequent scout drilling operations, which provided core samples and helped confirm anomalies detected during earlier surveys.
The exploration phase concluded with geotechnical and lithological logging, capturing critical details about rock composition, geological stability, and mineral distribution. These findings now form the foundation for resource evaluation and further detailed drilling, bringing the project closer to defining a commercially viable gold deposit.
The Mbangala Gold Project highlights MARS Group’s commitment to advancing Tanzania’s mineral sector through modern exploration techniques and sustainable resource development.
